Hello folks! I'm James N. Siazon, a passionate photographer and a senior Chemical Engineering student at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).
Although my academic journey is somewhat "hardcore science", my creative thinking has always been behind my camera. My camera is my constant companion for capturing memories. I am a hobbyist photographer with no specific genre. However, I'm drawn to photos with candid and fleeting moments that tell a larger story.

In terms of photography experiences, I am still an amateur and still juggling my priorities in academics, but I always make sure to keep my camera in my hand once in a while.
I am also an enthusiast of film videography! I really find photography and film videography as separate entities. Each has its own powerful way of conveying a message, and I really enjoy exploring these two approaches. I'm really dedicated to honing my own craft day by day, and as you explore my portfolio, I hope that my vision is shared through these pictures. Enjoy!

I'm also an active member of the UP Photographers' Society, a sociocivic organization in UPLB. I can say that my growth as a young photographer is deeply connected to this organization.
I've been in the Educational Committee of this organization for more than three (3) years now. This society helped me a lot in shaping my craft, not just the technical aspects of photography, but also how to use it as a tool to highlight important social issues. This organization is more than just a club, it's a community that I'm proud to call my family.
